Service Description

For ages 14+ or Grade 4 or above Jazz dance (Modern Dance) is a performance dance and style that arose in the United States in the mid 20th century alongside Jazz Music. It is often associated with the dance styles found in musical theatre, films and pop music videos. Some elements of jazz dance include: isolations, character performance, precision and all things high kicks and impressive jumps. Jazz technique at VWD includes elements of Fosse technique as well as exercises based on ISTD Modern dance. If a student wants enhance their dance skills and performance, Jazz is a great class to enrol in.
